January 15 — In response to the devastating earthquake in Haiti, USGBC President Rick Fedrizzi has offered the UN special envoy to Haiti, former President Bill Clinton, the assistance of USGBC members to develop solutions informed by its work in New Orleans and Greensburg. Fedrizzi will be meeting with Clinton and his team in New York next week to discuss opportunities and potential resources that could be needed in the days ahead.

The USGBC has dedicated a place on its website for the reporting of any initiatives, as they develop, along with information about how members of the USGBC family can get involved, as well as links to Clinton Foundation Haiti Relief Fund, www.clintonfoundation.org/haitirelief, where donations may be made to provide immediate assistance. Please visit www.USGBC.org, and click on the Rescue and Rebuild Haiti link for more information.
