According to Daikin AC (Americas), Inc., the company’s VRV III-C is designed especially for high-efficiency heating in colder climates. The unit reportedly performs efficiently at outdoor temperatures as low as minus 13 degrees Fahrenheit, eliminating a need for auxiliary heating to complement the heat pump on the harshest days of winter. The 8-ton VRVIII-C has a heating rated capacity of 103 MBH and the 16 ton has a heating rated capacity of 206 MBH at 47 degrees Fahrenheit. A modular design, simplified and fail-safe wiring, optimized and flexible piping, built-in diagnostics, and a range of network control systems are designed to make installation and maintenance easier. www.daikinac.com.
