Oak Brook, Ill. — Elkay Commercial’s VRCGRN pressurized water coolers are equipped with a completely redesigned refrigeration system, the company reports, utilizing a greater efficiency compressor, optimizing heat transfer within the evaporator and using a reduced amount of refrigerant. When tested to CSA Standard C-815 “Energy-Performance of Drinking-Water Coolers” requirements in a UL-recognized test lab, results indicated that the VRCGRN realized a 50 percent improvement in energy efficiency versus comparable water cooler models in the industry.
