Introducing Sustainable Facility
|
|
|
Welcome to the premier issue of Sustainable Facility’s monthly eNews. Transitioning from Energy & Power Management (E&PM) magazine, and still under the same parent company, BNP Media, Sustainable Facility will be an important information source for high-performance buildings, and optimal energy and resource management in commercial, institutional and industrial facilities.
Keeping existing buildings operating at an optimal level of performance is key to conserving resources. Implementing sustainable strategies with all new buildings as we work toward reducing our footprint impacts our existence and operations. The interest in this endeavor is definitely there, and the subject matter is undeniably pertinent to the planetary triple bottom line: economic, environmental and social.
The Sustainable Facility team, including myself, Publisher Liz Obloy, Group Publisher Diana Brown, and National Sales Managers Heather Jenkins and Jami Brownlee will be onsite at IFMA World Workplace 2007 in New Orleans at booth number 240 in the Green Zone. Stop by to help us celebrate our premier issue.
Not going to New Orleans? Well, the team, along with Senior Editor Michelle Hucal, LEED AP, and Associate Editor Derrick Teal will also be onsite for USGBC’s Greenbuild 2007, Nov. 7 – 9, in booth number 930 at Chicago’s McCormick Place. (See the Industry Watch section of this issue online at www.SustainableFacility.com for more information on both of these sustainably themed conferences.)
Thanks for reading.
Until next time –
Joseph H. Mayton III, Editor
